The Henry Luce III Center for the Arts and Religion (LCAR) at Wesley Theological Seminary (WTS), Washington, D.C.
1983-2009

Under Kapikian’s supervision, LCAR received three grants and a $1.7 million endowment from the Henry Luce Foundation. Additionally, LCAR received three $10,000 to $15,000 grants from the Catholic University of America for co-sponsorship of three liturgical artists in residence in the LCAR studio. Resident artists, numbering over fifty under her watch, and since grown in numbers, continue a dialogue with theological educators unprecedented in theological education.

Kapikian has authored articles and reviews for denominational publications, arts magazines, scholarly journals, and supplied images for print. Notable among them are five articles for Arts: The Arts in Religious and Theological Studies and articles for CIVA’s SEEN Journal.

Kapikian has had works juried into seventeen national exhibitions and has won three Merit Awards from the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art, and Architecture (IFRAA) Biennial Exhibitions.

Kapikian has consulted with scores of churches spanning diverse denominations in various aspects of the redesign of their chancel, sanctuary, narthex, and fellowship spaces. List of places available upon request.

In Sydney, Australia, gave address at opening of exhibition.
